All the elements were well cooked and enjoyed thoroughly. Recommended. I hope I get back someday.

Tony D's Rochester NY
On recommendation of the Rochester NY pizza blog, I stopped in at Tony D's. The style is NY typical with a coal fired oven. The place was surprisingly jumping on a Tuesday night-slammed even. Staff was attentive and I was seated at their open kitchen. It was a lot of fun to watch the chefs at work. Most of what came off the stove was steaks, chops and pasta. I think I saw the entire menu roll by from prep to plating. For the pizza I chose sausage and pepperoni. Both were quite zesty, the Italian sausage in particular. While I didn't see any fennel, I'm sure it was there. The sausage was diced into tiny bites, the pepperoni was of typical size. The crust was excellent. Had some nice char, but not burned. The crust was still supple. Overall the pizza was balanced, if a little spicy. I do like some red pepper, however it had no effect.
